CATHY
Office Manager
Cathy has spent 35 years assisting Dr. Steinberg within various roles at DFW Implant Team, and now she is his Office Manager & Surgical Assistant.
Cathy spent 7.5 years as a General Dental Assistant in England/United Kingdom before coming to work with Dr. Steinberg approximately 35 years ago. She has held numerous positions throughout her time at DFW Implant Team, and now she serves as our Office Manager. Cathy is dedicated and hardworking, and at times performs the duties of a Surgical Assistant when she is needed. She is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), and N2O (nitrous oxide) certified. As required in her profession, Cathy accomplished 28 Continuing Education Credits each year, helps her fellow staff members as a Continuing Education Assistant, and serves as an Implant Coordinator. When she is not at work helping others obtain optimal oral health, Cathy loves to cuddle up at home with a great book to relax. Scuba diving and working out keep Cathy active, healthy, and happy.
CASSIE
SURGICAL ASSISTANT
Cassie has served as Dr. Steinberg's main Surgical Assistant here for more than 10 years, and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
Cassie eagerly joined the DFW Implant team as a Surgical Assistant first as an Intern, and was hired when she graduated from the Concorde Career Institute to be a Registered Dental Assisting in 2006. Always with a smile on her face and as the main Surgical Assistant, she has been assisting Dr. Steinberg with dental implants, reconstructive procedures and attentively taking care of all pre- and post-operative patients, Cassie appreciates working in the positive atmosphere of this office, and does her best to keep the operating room to meet at State and Federal safety standards. She is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), and N2O (nitrous oxide) certified, and she also completed 12 Continuing Education Credits each year. When Cassie is not working, she taking care of her daughter, who she loves to spend time with outdoors. You may also catch Cassie on the softball field, in the gym, or out in the countryside riding horses.
JOY
SURGICAL ASSISTANT
Joy joined the DFW Implant Team approximately two years ago as a Surgical Assistant.
Joy was a flight attendant for American Airlines during the 9/11 tragedy at which time she decided to make a career change. After getting her registered dental assisting license she worked in the Endodontic side of dentistry. She enjoys the camaraderie of the people in the office and says there is nothing better than seeing the smile on a patient's face after reconstructive procedures. She is CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), N20 (nitrous oxide) certified and she also completed 12 continuing education credits each year. When not working you will find her spending time with her husband watching movies, reading, or playing with her fur baby.
KAREN
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Karen also tracks credits for her team members as their Continuing Education Coordinator.
With over 32 years of experience with Dr. Steinberg, Karen worked in several areas of the practice; such as, a Register Dental Hygienist, Marketing and Continuing Education coordinator, and IT coordination. As a (Big Rapids, Michigan) Ferris State University alumna, Karen graduated in 1975 as a Registered Dental Hygienist with honors, and was involved with the National Honor Society. In 2000, she graduated with honors from Texas Woman's University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene and a minor in Business. She is also CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), and N2O (nitrous oxide) certified, and she completed 28 Continuing Education Credits each year. Karen is a very curious person with a thirst for knowledge, and she loves learning and sharing her information with others. On the weekend you can find her enjoying traveling to new exciting places, or working out at the gym, hiking and enjoying her grandchild.
